|
STANDING COMMITTEES shall include the following Managers: Membership, Sites, Handicap & Rules, Member-at-Large, Sunshine, Prizes, Tournaments, and GG & Website Tech Support.
The responsibilities of these committees are as follows:
- Membership Chair shall be responsible for maintaining up-to-date membership reports, processing new applications, leave-of-absence requests, and communicating same to Board members.
- Sites Chair shall be responsible for setting up the schedule of all sites to be played during the year and finalizing contracts with each club to include details on time, date, costs, lunch and other pertinent details.
- Handicap & Rules Chair shall be responsible for monitoring GHIN status, and any other issues related to a member's handicap index; for the interpretation of the Rules of Golf as dictated by the USGA and resolving situations that arise from the playing field from time-to-time.
- Member-at-Large shall serve as chair over all of the Club Representatives.
- Sunshine Chair shall arrange for appropriate remembrances to members.
- Prize Chair shall be responsible for prizes for all special tournaments and end-of-year awards per the annual schedule of awards.
- Tournament Manager working with the GG Event Managers shall be responsible for arranging the tournaments, checking in members, scoring the tournaments, distributing the tournament prizes and season management
- Golf Genius Technical Support Manager in coordination with the GG Event Managers shall be responsible for setting up the tournaments on GG, membership programs/ master roster, maintaining season management data and maintaining the Golf Genius website with all data specific to League information.
OTHER COMMITTEES: The Scholarship Committee will be chaired by the Vice President. Duties include soliciting the guidance and/or athletic departments of all Cape Cod High Schools for candidates, reviewing the submissions and making a recommendation to the Board of Directors.
